Memory Tag- You're All It

MEMORY GAME

1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

We love the Rain!

My mom got these cute new raincoats and accessories for kids in her store. Of course, she had to spoil Logan and Claire with an entire ensemble each. They come with raincoats, umbrellas, rainboots and a cute little backpack. Claire picked out the Ladybug rain gear and Logan picked out the Pirate one. They have been putting them on every day to play in and just sweating in them because it's been so hot. They were so excited when it finally rained and they could put them on to play in the rain!

I think I already have their Halloween costumes! :-)

Davis Family Reunion

While in Evanston we had a Davis family reunion. It was fun to see all of my cousins and their kids. I don't know a lot of them. My grandma has 52 great grandchildren. I don't know how many grandchildren. All of that from just 4 kids! Here are a few pics......
My youngest brother, Spencer and one of his daughters, Maggie.

The whole family- minus a few families...

Model Train Show

It's been awhile since I've had time to post something new. A few weeks ago I took the kids to my mom's house and we stayed the week. They took a few classes in a Music Arts and Technology Camp. Nathan took about 5 classes- piano, comedy, theater, composition, etc. Claire took a Music and Movement Class and Logan took a cooking class. They all had fun. At the end of the week Evanston had an annual train show. It is held at Evanston's train roundhouse. Collectors bring their model trains and set them up. Some of the displays are very detailed. Lots of time and money. The kids enjoyed it though.

Logan and Claire started the day out with their own "train" ride.

Logan receiving a "tutorial."
Claire loved this train because it had fish on the inside. (Not real ones...)

Another display- lots of work!

Kids Say the Darnest Things...

I had a few laughs courtesy of some neighborhood kids today so thought I'd share....

Macy was over this morning and Spence was fixing her some chocolate milk. I was making beds at the time and this is what I overheard...
Spence: "Macy, does your mom ever fix you chocolate milk at home?"
Macy: "Nope."
Spence: "Does she give you fruit roll ups?"
Macy: "Nope. My mom is mean. I'm going to have to send her to her room."

I died laughing. (We all know you are not mean Emily and how much Macy really loves you.)

Then later in the afternoon all of the kids were out playing on the deck. They had about every spare blanket in my house out there making a "fort." Quinn came knocking on the door. I let him in and said "Quinn! Did your mom decide to unground you?" (He has been grounded all week for fighting with his sister.) He had a huge smile on his face and said: "No. My dad did. It's our little secret." Once again, I busted out laughing! Let me guess- dad was home babysitting and couldn't take it anymore?.... Well, I'm glad he couldn't because Logan has been waiting all week to play with him. :-)

Claire's Phone Conversation

So I'm sitting here listening to Claire talk on the phone. She has her little notepad and pen and is writing stuff down. She is talking about siding. I didn't even know she knew what siding is. She is telling someone that it would be a good idea. Maybe she has listened in on one of Hyrum Molloy's conversations when he's been at our house. LOL

Then she goes "Ugh. My children are being so impossible." Pause. "I can't believe they would just hit someone in the face." LOL

Well, I'm glad her children always act up while she's on the phone. It's nice to know they're no different than mine! :-)
